Mumbai The year 2025 started with flop movies. This year, ‘Game Changer’ was first released on January 10, in which Ram Charan and Kiara Advani were seen in the lead roles. S Shankar’s film was neither liked by the audience nor could it do good business. A few days after this film, Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ somehow showed its magic at the box office. After that, from February till now, only a few films became hits at the box office, the rest proved to be huge flops. Let us see the list of those films on which the makers took a big bet and the audience found it boring.
Biggest flop films of 2025-
‘War 2’ has proved to be a flop as it did not earn as expected at the box office against the huge budget of Rs 400 crore. This film had earned 364.3 crores worldwide at the box office.
According to Sacknilk, the total box office collection of Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Maalik’ stood at Rs 25.04 crore in India and Rs 29.51 crore worldwide. The film performed well in its opening week earning Rs 21.20 crore, but saw a huge decline in its earnings in the second week.
Siddhant Chaturvedi and Trupti Dimri’s ‘Dhadak 2’ has also been a flop film of this year. The budget of the film was between 40 to 60 crores, while it earned only 31.5 crores worldwide.
‘Baaghi 4’ was one of the much awaited films of the year 2025, but it flopped. The film’s budget was around Rs 150 crore, but it earned only Rs 53.38 crore in India and just Rs 77.67 crore worldwide.
Sonu Sood’s film ‘Fateh’ has been a flop at the box office. It was released on January 10, 2025 and the film did not perform as expected at the box office. The film had earned only Rs 19.05 crore worldwide.
Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Bengal Files’ has proved to be a flop at the box office. The film’s total domestic box office collection stood at Rs 17.03 crore, while it earned Rs 23.41 crore globally.
The film ‘Azad’ flopped badly because it could collect very little at the box office as per its budget of Rs. 80 crores, earning even Rs. 10 crores with great difficulty. Despite Ajay Devgan’s cameo, the film failed to draw audiences to the theatres.
‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ is one of the biggest flops of 2025 and did not perform as expected at the box office. The film starring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar received good reviews initially, but failed to make even its Rs 60 crore budget at the box office. It earned only Rs 10.5 crore worldwide.
Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and Sridevi Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor’s theatrical debut film ‘Loveyapa’ hit the theaters on February 7. This film was a big flop at the box office. It had collected only Rs 8.85 crore.
According to Sacknilk, the film ‘Ground Zero’ earned approximately Rs 7.38 crore at the domestic box office. The film showed growth in the first few days, but on the first Monday its earnings dropped drastically and it could only earn around Rs 70 lakh.
‘Son of Sardar 2’ proved to be a flop at the box office. The budget of this film was around Rs 150 crore, but it could not recover even one-fourth of its cost. The film had earned Rs 65.75 crore at the worldwide box office. Apart from Ajay Devgan, Ravi Kishan, Roshni Walia, Mrinal Thakur, Sanjay Mishra, Vindu Dara Singh, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Chunky Pandey, Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa and late actor Mukul Dev were also seen in the film.
