Nitish Kumar’s decision to go to Rajya Sabha
Patna. Janata Dal United (JDU) national president Nitish Kumar has announced that he will no longer be the Chief Minister of Bihar and has decided to go to Rajya Sabha. This announcement has ended the speculations going on for the last few days. In a statement shared on social media, he said that he has served Bihar and its people for more than two decades and now he is keen to enter Delhi politics.
New beginning of parliamentary life
Nitish Kumar clarified in his statement that it was his long standing dream to become a member of Rajya Sabha. He said that he wanted to become a member of both the Legislative Assemblies as well as both Houses of Parliament. He assured the public that their relationship will remain strong in the future and despite the indifference, their resolve for the development of Bihar will remain firm.
Displeasure of JDU workers
There is resentment among JDU workers over this decision of Nitish Kumar. The workers say that they had expressed confidence in the leadership of Nitish Kumar in the upcoming assembly elections in 2025. The workers raised slogans outside the CM House and said that Nitish Kumar will have to listen to the voice of the people of Bihar. His position is important in Bihar politics, and workers insisted that he should not go to Delhi.
Discussion on Lalan Singh’s possible deputy CM
Soon after CM Nitish Kumar’s decision, Union Minister Lalan Singh met Nishant Kumar. In this meeting they discussed further plans and discussed the role of Nishant Kumar. During the discussion, it was learned that Nishant Kumar can be appointed to the post of Deputy CM.
