114th Bihar Day celebrations begin at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, efforts to deliver public welfare schemes
With a resolve to cherish its glorious heritage and take a new flight in the future, the 114th Bihar Day celebrations began today at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. For the next three days, many grand events will be organized in and outside Gandhi Maidan, the capital of Bihar. The main theme of this year is “Unnat Bihar, Ujjwal Bihar”, which is a reflection of the all-round development of the state.
Grand beginning of Bihar Day at Gandhi Maidan
On the first day of the three-day long celebrations at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Gandhi Maidan was seen drenched in stalls and exhibitions of various departments, where efforts were made to provide the direct benefits of public welfare schemes of the government and administration to the public.
Departmental stalls became the center of attraction
Major participants in the function were Rural Affairs Department (Strengthened Rural Roads and Advanced Bihar), Information and Public Relations Department (Women Empowerment), Cooperative Department, Social Welfare Department (Women and Child Development), Health Department (Free Health Checkup and Awareness), Science, Technology and Technical Department, SEBI, Bihar National Language Council (Book Fair), Indian Postal Department (PLI, IPPB and Aadhar Seva), Art of Living (Stress Relief), Prohibition, Product and Registration Department (Drug Free). The main attractions are the stalls of the Labor Resources and Migrant Workers Welfare Department (Child Labor Free Bihar), Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department (Agriculture Forestry and Pollution Control), Sugarcane Industry Department (Samrudhi Industries), Youth Employment and Skill Development Department (AI Awareness, Drone Making, Skilled Youth Program and Chief Minister Pratigya Yojana), and Planning and Development Department (Chief Minister Nischay Self-Help Allowance).
Confluence of education and technology
In the huge tent of the Education Department, especially ‘Mission Nipun Bihar’, Project Based Learning (PBL), Mathematics Olympiad, Quiz competition, and music and dance presentation on cultural stage by teachers and children enthralled the audience. Here information about cyber security, disaster management, safe building construction for earthquake protection, road safety, ‘O Plus Innovation’ (drone technology), and Braille script was given through ‘Ashdeep Rehabilitation’ centre.
Special focus on health and safety
Additionally, heat prevention information by Medanta Hospital, health check-up by Indian Red Cross Society, health awareness counter by AIMS Patna, and live demonstration of fire safety equipment by Bihar Fire Service were highly appreciated. Stalls on transgender awareness, Shilp Kutir (handicrafts and clay art), and meditation are giving the message of social harmony and inner peace.
Strong step towards self-reliant Bihar
This three-day long event is not only a celebration of Bihar’s achievements, but it is also a strong step towards building a self-reliant and developed Bihar, where every department is empowering the people of the state through technology, education, health and skills.
