New Delhi : Taking an important step towards giving a new direction to the organization, Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Bihar government minister Nitin Nabin as the national working president of the party. Nitin Nabin, who reached this post at the age of 45, has become the youngest working president of BJP till date. This appointment is not just being seen as an organizational change, but as a political strategy for the coming years. Appointment with immediate effect
Let us tell you that this appointment has been implemented with immediate effect from 14 December 2025. In the official order issued by the party, it has been made clear that this decision has been taken by the Parliamentary Board of the Bharatiya Janata Party. While issuing the organizational order, National General Secretary and Headquarters in-charge Arun Singh said that Nitin Nabin is being entrusted with important responsibilities at the national level. This decision also indicates that the party is continuously working on the policy of bringing forward young and experienced leaders.

Strong hold in the organization while being a minister
Nitin Nabin is currently working as the Road Construction Minister in the Nitish Kumar government of Bihar. He is an MLA from Bankipur assembly constituency of Patna and is known for active public relations and development work in his area. As a minister, he has worked on many important projects related to roads and infrastructure. Working by maintaining a balance at both the organizational and government levels is considered a specialty of his working style.

Journey from student politics to national leadership
Nitin Nabin’s political journey started from student politics. He learned the nuances of organizational politics through Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Nitin Nabin’s father Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha was a senior BJP leader and former MLA. Expressed public trust by becoming MLA for five consecutive terms
Nitin Nabin entered the Assembly for the first time in 2006 by winning the by-election. After this, he remained victorious continuously in the elections of 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2025. In the 2025 assembly elections, he secured a record 98,299 votes and defeated the RJD candidate by a huge margin of 51,936 votes. This victory shows his political strength and support base.
