Bihar government’s big decision regarding employment of teachers
Patna. Bihar Government has taken a historic and long awaited decision in the interest of the employed teachers of the state. This decision has brought great relief to thousands of teachers who have been waiting for promotion for years. The demand for promotion, which has been pending for about 23 years, now seems to be fulfilled, due to which there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm and satisfaction among the teachers.
Under this decision of the government, the employed teachers working under Panchayat, Block, Municipal Corporation, City Council and District Council planning unit will be given the benefit of the next pay scale. This step will not only provide financial strength but will also boost the morale of teachers.
Service period fixed for promotion
According to the order issued by the Education Department, the benefit of promotion will be available only to those teachers who have completed minimum 12 years of service. The department has given instructions to complete this process in a time bound manner. DPO (Establishment) Indra Kumar Karna has issued a letter to the member secretaries of all the planning units saying that the list of qualified teachers should be made available to the concerned Block Education Officer (BEO) within a fortnight.
After completion of this process, qualified teachers will get the benefit of formal promotion, which will increase the pay scale and also increase service satisfaction.
Wave of happiness in teacher organizations
After this decision, various teacher organizations including Bihar State Elementary Teachers Association have welcomed the government’s decision. Organizations say that this decision is the result of teachers’ struggle and patience. The justice that was being demanded for a long time now seems to be being fulfilled.
