In this program, first Devi raised slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Atal Bihari Vajpayee Amar Rahe'. After this, when he sang this hymn, the people present in the auditorium got angry with it.

RJD leader Lalu Yadav has targeted BJP regarding this. Lalu Yadav wrote that yesterday in Patna, when the singer sang Gandhiji's bhajan Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, Patit Pavan Sita Ram, Nitish Kumar's fellow BJP members created a ruckus. The sentiments of people with low understanding were hurt by the bhajan. Due to which bhajan singer Devi had to apologize.
