Bihar: Massive fire breaks out in Muzaffarpur hospital, 3 dead so far
Many people have died due to a fire in a private hospital in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. This incident happened the very next day after the fire in the hotel in Delhi. According to initial information, there was a fire in the ICU of the hospital and at least 10 people have died as the fire spread to many parts. People told that this incident happened late night of Wednesday-Thursday at around 4 pm. The victims’ families allege that the hospital administration people ran away after the fire.
According to the report, the fire brigade team that arrived to extinguish the fire broke the glass windows of the hospital and took people out and after a lot of effort the fire was brought under control. Many people have been badly burnt and have been admitted to other hospitals in injured condition, where they are undergoing treatment.

What did the officer say?
Regarding this incident, Muzaffarpur District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen has said, ‘Many people lost their lives due to the massive fire that broke out in the ICU of Prasad Hospital in Muzaffarpur. Fire brigade teams immediately reached the spot and successfully controlled the fire. According to the information received so far, three people have died in this incident. More information is awaited.
A police officer has told the media about this incident, ‘We received information at 3.55 in the night that there was a fire in the ICU of Prasad Hospital. We took immediate action and a total of 6 vehicles were sent one by one. We have rescued at least 10 people alive and around 10 people have been rescued dead. The hospital and the relatives of the patients also helped. We have yet to count how many people have actually died. The fire was caused by short circuit.

The fire that broke out in the night has now been extinguished and the hospital has now been evacuated. The police and administration team has searched the entire hospital. Now further investigation is being done to find out what was the status of safety standards and what was the real reason for the fire.
