PM Modi to visit Bihar today, will address Jharkhand-Maharashtra from Jamui, will unveil schemes worth Rs 6640 crore

Patna : Today, on Friday, November 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address election states like Jharkhand and Maharashtra from Bihar Jamui. The Prime Minister will come to Bihar today to participate in a function organized on the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda.

Today PM Modi will participate in an event organized on the occasion of “Tribal Pride Day” being celebrated from 2021 in a remote village of Jamui district, about 200 km from the state capital. It should be seen that this is the second visit of the Prime Minister to Bihar in less than a week.

Earlier on Wednesday, he had laid the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga, one of the major cities of the northern region of the state. Jamui shares its border with Jharkhand, where assembly elections are being held. Union Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan expressed enthusiasm over the Prime Minister's visit. Paswan has been a Lok Sabha member from Jamui twice.

The Prime Minister has special affection for the people of Jamui and the loved ones of Jamui have also given a lot of blessings and support to the Prime Minister. This is the third visit of the Prime Minister to Jamui.”

As per the schedule today, PM Modi will unveil a commemorative coin and postage stamp in honor of Birsa Munda at around 11 am. After this he will also participate in the housewarming ceremony of 11,000 houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Tribal Justice Maha Abhiyan (PM-Janman).

Along with this, PM Modi will also inaugurate 23 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) launched under PM-Janman and additional 30 MMUs under Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAZGUA) to increase health care access in tribal areas.

Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, who was present in Jamui to oversee the preparations for the Prime Minister's visit, said, “The Honorable Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects costing more than Rs 6,640 crore. He will also inaugurate two tribal freedom fighters museums and two tribal research institutes to preserve the rich history and heritage of the tribal communities”.

Notably, to document and preserve the rich history and heritage of the tribal communities, they have established two Tribal Freedom Fighters Museums at Chhindwara and Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and two Tribal Research Institutes at Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir and Gangtok, Sikkim. Will also inaugurate.
