PNG connection and infrastructure will be expanded rapidly, announces Deputy CM

Now the government has taken a big decision regarding the expansion of piped cooking gas (PNG) in Bihar. Deputy Chief Minister cum Urban Development and Housing Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has announced rapid expansion of PNG connections and infrastructure in many districts of the state.

PNG presence in 18 districts

Urban Development Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said that 18 district headquarters of the state. Patna. Went. Nalanda. Begusarai. Shekhpura. Jamui. Muzaffarpur. Vaishali. Saran. Samastipur. Lakhisarai. Munger. Sarhasa. Madhepura. Bhojpur. Purnia. PNG infrastructure is already available in Aurangabad and Rohtas. In these districts, cooking gas is being supplied through pipes to about one lakh houses.

Ability to provide 75 thousand new connections in 24 hours

Gas distribution companies have informed that they are capable of providing more than 75 thousand domestic connections within 24 hours. At the same time, PNG connection can be provided to more than 70 thousand consumers within a week.

Usage increased in business and industries also

Not only domestic but hundreds of commercial consumers and many industrial units are also using PNG. The government believes that PNG. More economical than LPG. It is safe and effective and its supply is mostly from within the country.

Big decisions to promote PNG

The state government has taken many important decisions to accelerate PNG expansion.

*Permission for gas pipeline and plant installation will now have to be given by municipal bodies within 24 hours.

*If permission is not received within 24 hours, it will be considered automatically approved.

*Companies will be allowed to work on the condition of rehabilitation at their own expense.

*Land will be provided immediately to government gas companies at nominal rates.

*Gas companies have been allowed to work 24 hours.

Preparation for PNG expansion in 20 districts

Urban Development Minister said that Banka. Gopalganj. Siwan. West Champaran. East Champaran. Darbhanga. Madhubani. Supaul. Sitamarhi. Shivhar. Nawada. Bhagalpur. Khagaria. Arwal. Jehanabad. Buxar. Araria. Katihar. Coordination with oil companies is being intensified for the expansion of PNG network in Kishanganj and Kaimur.

Work will be done on time bound plan

Municipal bodies in these districts have been instructed to ensure land availability and other permissions as per a time-bound action plan. The government’s aim is to provide safe and affordable piped gas to as many consumers as possible.
