Current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is now preparing to step down and in his place the leader of the BJP legislature party will take charge of the state. A round of meetings will continue throughout the day on Tuesday, which will decide the direction of the new government. Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of the legislature party of Janata Dal United (JDU) at his residence at 2 pm. Immediately after this, there will be a meeting of the BJP legislature party at 3 pm, in which Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will announce the name of the new leader. The party has sent him to Patna as an observer, where he will complete the process of electing the leader of the legislature party.

After both these meetings, an important meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Legislative Party will be held in the Central Hall of the Legislature at 4 pm. In this meeting, the leader of the BJP legislature party will be formally elected as the leader of the alliance. After this, the same leader will go to Raj Bhavan to stake claim to form the government. According to sources, the swearing in of the new government will take place on April 15. Before this, the last meeting of Nitish cabinet will be held on April 14, after which Nitish Kumar will submit his resignation to the Governor and pave the way for the formation of a new government. At present, the residence of Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and the Chief Minister’s residence in Patna remain the center of political activities. Meetings of NDA leaders are being held continuously here. Senior JDU leaders Sanjay Jha and Lalan Singh met Samrat Chaudhary, while BJP state president also reached here.

The most discussed within the BJP regarding the post of Chief Minister is about the names of the current legislature party leader Samrat Chaudhary and deputy leader Vijay Sinha.
