Bihar: Purnia MP Pappu Yadav gets bail in house possession case, but on police remand in other cases.

Patna, 10 February. Independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav got bail on Tuesday from the MP/MLA court of Patna Civil Court in a house possession case. However, the police have taken the Bahubali leader on remand in two new cases. For this reason the MP will have to remain in jail for the time being.

In the production case of Kotwali police station and Buddha Colony police station, the police had sought remand of Pappu Yadav from the court. This was approved by the court, after which Pappu Yadav will have to remain in jail. Purnia MP was lodged in Beur jail for the last three days. He was brought to the court for hearing at around 12.30 pm, where the hearing on the bail petition started at 2 pm. During this, Pappu Yadav was seen sitting on a wheelchair.

Arrest was made in 21 year old case of house occupation

It is noteworthy that Pappu Yadav was arrested on Friday in a 31 year old case. His supporters allege that he was raising the issue of the recent death of an NEET student, which is why he was arrested. However, Pappu Yadav was accused of illegally occupying a house. An FIR was registered against him in this case in the year 1995.

When the police took action and arrested him in this case which was pending for a long time, high voltage drama was witnessed. A lot of controversy arose during and after the arrest. There was also a tense atmosphere between the supporters and the administration. After his arrest, Pappu Yadav was taken to the hospital for health checkup, where he was given regular medical checkup.

After medical examination, Pappu Yadav was sent to Beur jail in Patna. After the arrest of Pappu Yadav, he had filed a petition for bail, the hearing of which was to be held on Monday, January 9. However, the hearing could not be held yesterday due to pen down by the lawyers.

Pappu Yadav’s lawyer Shivanandan Bharti told outside the civil court that the court has granted bail to his client in Gardnibagh case number 552/95. He said that this case was related to breaking of bail bond and the court has approved the bail after considering all the legal aspects.

The hearing of the case registered in Buddha Colony police station will be held on Wednesday.

According to the lawyer, Pappu Yadav was to come out after the completion of judicial formalities, but due to another case he could not be released at the moment. The hearing of the case registered at Buddha Colony police station is to be held on Wednesday. After this hearing it will be clear whether Pappu Yadav gets bail in this case also or he will have to stay in jail for some more time.
