Bihar News: Now there will be no arbitrariness in the schools of Bihar, the government has fixed the fees for every class.

Bihar News: In the last few years, a worrying change has been seen in the field of education. Schools are now looking less like centers of education and more like centers of business. It has become a common thing for parents to empty their pockets in the name of dresses, stationery and books. Such complaints have been coming from every corner of the country where the school administration charges huge amount in the name of infrastructure and other facilities. In view of this serious problem, the Education Department of Bihar Government has taken a historic decision. The government has now fixed the limit on school fees so that the looting in the name of education can be stopped.

New rules for determining fees

According to the new list released by the Bihar government, money has been fixed for every item for students from class 9 to 12. This includes everything from admission fees to tuition fees, development fees and even TC i.e. transfer certificate charges. Not only this, now the government will keep a direct eye on the arbitrary money collected in the name of library and sports activities. The department has clarified that if any school asks for more money than this prescribed rate, strict legal action will be taken against it.

Fee status for class 9 and 10

According to the new order of the government, now the fee for enrollment in class 9 has been fixed at only Rs 50. Apart from this, only Rs 80 has been fixed as development fee for class 9 and 10 students. The government believes that basic education is the right of every child and it should not be made unnecessarily expensive. This step is expected to provide huge relief to rural and middle class families who were burdened with the heavy burden of fees in the new session every year.

Higher Secondary Classes Fees Mathematics

Complete details of fees for class 11th and 12th students have also been presented. Students taking admission in Arts, Science and Commerce i.e. Commerce stream in class 11th will now have to pay only Rs 50 as enrollment fee. If the student has studied in class 10th from the same school, then even this Rs 50 will not be taken from him at the time of admission in class 11th. Talking about tuition fee, in class 11th it is fixed at Rs 180 for Arts and Commerce and Rs 240 for Science. Similarly, in 12th also, the amount has been fixed at Rs 180 for Arts and Rs 240 for Science. Rs 200 can be taken from all sections in the name of development fee.

Relaxation in reserved category and enrollment process

Bihar government has also taken full care of social justice in this policy. According to the rules, no money will be taken from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students in the name of tuition fee and development fee. To ensure that these students do not face any financial hindrance in getting education, the government has kept them completely fee free. Along with this, the schools themselves will no longer have to bear the expenses of the forms and prospectus given to the students at the time of enrollment in class 11th. Funds for this will be provided to schools by Bihar School Examination Committee.

Parents will get big relief

The most positive impact of this new order will be on those parents who were troubled by the rising school fees every year. It is often seen that as soon as the school session starts, people create pressure to buy new dresses and books from special shops. This decision of the Bihar government is an effort to bring schools back towards the fundamental objective of education. An attempt has been made to bring transparency by dividing the fee structure into development fund and student fund. Now it will be important to see how strictly the education officers at the local level enforce these rules.
