Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident of assault and gang rape in Suryagarha village of Lakhisarai on Wednesday night. According to the police, the accused entered the house masked and demanded a cigarette. When the man refused to open the gate, they dragged his mother to the courtyard, where they allegedly assaulted and raped her. The age of the elderly woman is said to be 65 years.
The attackers also seriously injured an elderly man during the incident. At that time the elderly woman along with her son and daughter-in-law were present in the house. When they did not open the gate, they broke the wall of the house and entered the house and carried out this incident.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and started investigation. Accused Vishal Kumar and Saurabh Kumar have been arrested. Both are residents of the same village.
According to reports, both were under the influence of alcohol during the incident. The victim was taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Officials are continuing their investigation.
