Bihar News: During the Sonpur fair in Saran, Bihar, Sugarcane Minister Sanjay Paswan made a big announcement for the farmers and industry. He said that the government has started work towards restarting the sugar mills which have been closed for a long time in the state. Not only this, the government is also seriously considering the plan to establish new sugar mills. The minister said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has approved this proposal, which will speed up taking this initiative forward.
Formation of a high-level committee
The government has constituted a high-level committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to carry forward this entire process in a systematic and time bound manner. This committee includes experts and senior officials from various departments, who will decide necessary steps at the ground level to revive the mills and establish new units. According to the minister, this initiative will not only give a new direction to the industry but will also create employment opportunities for thousands of youth.
Emphasis on connecting sugarcane farming with modern technology
Sanjay Paswan said that the farmers of the state will get direct benefits from the opening of closed sugar mills. Sugarcane producing farmers will be able to get better prices for their crops and the facility of timely payment will also be ensured. He also said that the government is emphasizing on connecting sugarcane farming with modern technology, so that the yield increases and the income of farmers increases.
This appeal was made to the farmers
Minister Paswan appealed to the farmers to openly convey their problems and suggestions to the government. He assured that every concern of the farmers will be seriously considered and the solution will also be found accordingly. The minister said that he is continuously holding meetings with the officials and every possible step is being taken to strengthen the sugarcane sector.
He said that in the coming days, decisive decisions will be taken in this direction, which will strengthen the economy, industry and agriculture of the state. The government aims to once again include Bihar in the category of leading states in the field of sugar industry.
