The Meteorological Department has issued a special warning indicating the possibility of strong storm, rain and lightning in many districts of the state. Along with this, people have been advised to remain alert and stay in safe places during bad weather.
Alert issued for 18 districts
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may change suddenly in the next few hours in 18 districts of the state. The districts for which the warning has been issued include Gaya, Jehanabad, Nawada, Nalanda, West Champaran, Arwal, Aurangabad, Banka, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Bhojpur, Buxar, Jamui, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Munger, Patna and Rohtas. There is a possibility of rain with strong winds in these areas, which may bring down the temperature and provide relief to the people from the heat.
Chances of strong wind and thunder
According to the forecast, cloud movement will increase in many areas and there may be rain with thunder. Strong winds may also blow at some places, whose speed is expected to reach 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. Weather experts say that due to the suddenly changing weather, people and farmers living in open places should take special precautions.
There may be a drop in temperature
Most parts of the state were in the grip of extreme heat for the past several days. Due to strong sunlight and humidity in the afternoon, people were finding it difficult to leave their homes.
