Bill Gates AI Summit 2026: Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates will not give his keynote address at the ongoing AI Summit in New Delhi. Gates Foundation announced this. The Foundation said that this decision has been taken very thoughtfully so that the entire focus of the summit remains on its priority.
The Foundation said that Ankur Vora will represent the Foundation in place of Bill Gates at the summit. Ankur Vora is the President of the Africa and India Office of the Gates Foundation. He will speak in a session today. Ankur Vora has looked after the work of the foundation for a long time.
Gates steps down after name appears in documents related to Epstein case
The reason for Bill Gates’ withdrawal from the summit is said to be his name appearing in documents related to American criminal Jeffrey Epstein. These secret documents were released recently. Epstein was accused of serious sexual crimes and trafficking of minors.
After his suicide in 2019, many classified documents related to him have been made public. It has been claimed in these files that there was a close relationship between Epstein and Gates. Epstein helped Gates in extramarital affairs and other personal activities. Bill Gates has expressed regret over these meetings in an interview. “I regret the time I spent with Epstein and I apologize,” he said.
Nvidia CEO also postponed his India visit
Big people like Google CEO Sundar Pichai and OpenAI’s Sam Altman are participating in the India AI Impact Summit. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang was also supposed to attend, but he has canceled the event. There was speculation that the presence of Bill Gates could be the reason for his departure. However, the company has not given any official reason.
PM Modi inaugurates AI Impact Summit
PM Modi inaugurated the India AI Impact Summit 2026, one of the world’s largest technology events, on February 16. After this he saw the pavilions of the startups participating in the event and learned about their innovations.

More than 110 countries and 30 international organizations are participating in the summit. Heads of State and more than 45 ministers of about 20 countries are participating.
