Bill Gates will attend AI Impact Summit, company issued statement
New Delhi, 17 February. The confusion regarding Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’ participation in the ‘India AI Impact Summit’ has now been cleared. According to the Gates Foundation spokesperson, Bill Gates will participate in the summit as per the schedule and will give his keynote address.
It is noteworthy that today his name was not in the guest list on the website of ‘India AI Impact Summit’. In such a situation, there were reports that the government had canceled his invitation. The reason for this was said to be his name appearing in the controversial documents related to American criminal Jeffrey Epstein.
Bill Gates Foundation refutes claims previously aired in the media
At present, the Bill Gates Foundation has refuted the claims in previously published media reports that Gates will not attend the AI Impact Summit 2026. The foundation said, ‘He is attending the AI Impact Summit 2026. He will be present there at the appointed time and will deliver the keynote address.” Gates Foundation Chairman Bill Gates had come to India on Monday to attend the Expo. He was in Vijayawada yesterday.
Gates said – meeting Epstein was my big mistake
Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier who was accused of serious sex crimes and trafficking of minors. Following his suicide in prison in 2019, several classified documents related to him have recently been made public. Bill Gates’ name was also there in this.
It has been claimed in these files that there was a deep relationship between Epstein and Gates. Epstein allegedly helped Gates have extra-marital affairs and other personal activities. Bill Gates has expressed regret over these meetings in a recent interview.
He said, ‘I regret any time I spent with Epstein and I apologize for it.’ Gates has previously said that he met Epstein only in connection with charity and fundraising, but he now considers this a big mistake.
