The Indian women’s tennis team concluded its Billie Jean King Cup campaign with a thrilling 2-1 win over Korea in the Asia/Oceania Group-1 Qualifiers at the DLTA Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday. India retained its place in Group 1 by finishing third among six teams, while Thailand and Indonesia qualified for the 2026 finals by reaching the top two positions.
In the second singles, India’s number one Vaishnavi Adkar defeated Korea’s Sohyun Park 7-6, 7-6 with great aggression. After the victory, Adkar said, ‘The last match was difficult, but after learning from it, I performed better. Came late, but came right.
