For the establishment of compressed biogas plants for the production of biogas from municipal solid waste in 6 municipal corporations of Chhattisgarh, Ambikapur, Raigarh, Korba, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon and Dhamtari, in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on January 17 at 10 am in the Chief Minister's residence office. Tripartite agreement between Chhattisgarh Bio Fuel Development Authority (CBDA), GAIL India Limited (GAIL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) The agreement will be signed. During this time, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao will also be present in the program.
Let us tell you that for the establishment of compressed biogas plants in Municipal Corporation Ambikapur, Raigarh and Korba, the concerned Municipality, CBDA and GAIL India Limited and for the establishment of the plant in Municipal Corporation Bilaspur, Dhamtari and Rajnandgaon, the concerned Municipality, CBDA, India. A tripartite agreement will be signed between Petroleum Corporation.
In these municipal corporations, about 70 metric tons of compressed biogas will be produced per day by using about 350 metric tons of municipal solid waste and about 500 metric tons of surplus biomass. An investment of Rs 600 crore will be made by GAIL and BPCL for setting up these plants. The establishment of the plant will generate direct and indirect employment of about 2 lakh man days every year in the state. The organic fertilizer produced as a by-product in these plants will encourage organic farming in the state. Green house gas emissions will reduce and the environment will be clean.
