BJP candidate Suresh Awasthi filed nomination from Sisamau.

Kanpur. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Suresh Awasthi filed his nomination today in the by-election of Sisamau assembly seat of Kanpur. Hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Party workers, MPs, MLAs, Mayors, MLCs, former MLAs etc. were present in the nomination procession along with Suresh Awasthi.

The party had declared Suresh Awasthi as its candidate yesterday. Ever since, a new energy has filled the Bharatiya Janata Party workers of Kanpur. Suresh Awasthi was also made the candidate by Bharatiya Janata Party in 2017. But that time he did not get success. This time also Suresh Awasthi's name was running ahead. But there was some confusion in the party regarding the Dalit candidate and in between it seemed that the party can field a Dalit candidate from here in terms of Dalit votes.

This morning, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate reached Kanpur Collectorate with great fanfare and filed his nomination. Along with Suresh Awasthi, a large number of party workers like Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi, MLA Abhijeet Sanga, former MLA Raghunandan Bhadauria, Mayor Pramila Pandey, MLA Saroj Kuril etc. were present in the nomination procession. Now it has been confirmed that Bharatiya Janata Party will directly compete with Samajwadi Party from Sisamau Assembly seat. Because BSP has not given any candidate who is being discussed in the assembly constituency.
