According to the Contribution Report for 2023-24 available on the Election Commission website, BJP received donations worth Rs 723.6 crore from Prudent Electoral Trust, while the same trust gave Rs 156.4 crore to Congress. In 2023-24, almost a third of the donations received by the BJP and more than half of the donations received by the Congress came from the Prudent Electoral Trust. Big companies like Megha Engineering & Infra Limited, Serum Institute of India, ArcelorMittal Group and Bharti Airtel are among those donating to Prudent in 2022-23.
