Congress made a dent in Ashok Chavan's family, three close aides of former CM left BJP

Maharashtra Politics: As the assembly elections in Maharashtra approach, BJP has suffered a major setback. Three close aides of former state CM Ashok Chavan have now joined the Congress, including Chavan's brother-in-law and former MP Bhaskarrao Patil Khatgaonkar, his sister Dr. Meenal Patil Khatgaonkar and former MLA Om Prakash Pokarna.

Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole said that Bhaskarrao has joined the Congress without any greed for any post. He is happy to receive such a grassroots worker. Patole said that the organization is continuously getting stronger in Nanded. Congress did not attack Ashok Chavan after he left the Congress and joined the BJP.

It is being told that Meenal Patil Khatgaonkar had asked for a ticket from BJP during the Lok Sabha elections. But, the party gave the ticket to former MP Pratap Patil Chikhlikar. In such a situation, she was dissatisfied with the BJP, which benefited the Congress.

Let us tell you that after the death of Congress MP Vasant Chavan, by-elections are to be held on Nanded Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra. In such a situation, before the by-election, Ashok Chavan's close associates joining Congress is a big setback for BJP. It is believed that to answer Ashok Chavan, Congress has made a dent in his own family.
