BJP is handing over forests and land to capitalists, said Rahul Gandhi
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a press conference in Ranchi on the last day of Jharkhand election campaign. During this, Rahul said that this election is a fight of ideology between the opposition alliance India and BJP-Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, we are protecting the Constitution while they are trying to crush it. He promised that Congress will conduct caste-based census to know the representation of Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Tribals in institutions, private companies, judiciary.
The Congress leader said that we want to run the government for the poor, not for the billionaires; BJP is handing over mines, forests and land to capitalists in Jharkhand. Modi handed over the country's wealth to a few billionaires. Rahul Gandhi made fun of BJP's slogan 'If we stay together we will be safe'. He said that if Modi, Shah, Ambani are 'one' then they are 'safe'. He said that Manipur has been burning for one and a half years, but Prime Minister Modi has not visited the state even once.
Rahul Gandhi said that Prime Minister Modi lies that I am against reservation, the opposition alliance 'India' wants to increase it, wants to remove the limit of 50 percent. He claimed that I requested Prime Minister Modi to conduct caste census and increase reservation, but he did not respond. He clearly said that BJP is against our plans to increase reservation and conduct caste census.
Rahul said that everyone knows what is happening in Manipur. The Prime Minister has not gone there yet. I have been to Manipur. We have asked the government to stop the violence. Someone has a vested interest. He said that the Home Minister should do his work, but for some reason he is not doing his work. Peace should be restored there. BJP people spread hatred, hence 'fire starts'. 'Only Congress can extinguish the fire' because we talk about love and brotherhood.
