BJP leader Babita Phogat was greedy for Brij Bhushan's post, hence instigated the wrestlers; Sakshi Malik's sensational claim
Sakshi Malik accuses Babita Phogat: Sakshi Malik, one of the female wrestlers who has accused former Indian Wrestling Association president and former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual exploitation, has made a sensational revelation. Sakshi Malik has claimed that female wrestler and BJP leader Babita Phogat had instigated the wrestlers because she was greedy for the post of Brij Bhushan.

Actually, Sakshi Malik was asked in an interview that allegations were often made that Congress put forward wrestlers for demonstrations. On this, the female wrestler claimed to have cooperated with the two BJP leaders in their protest. Sakshi Malik said, “We were given permission to protest by two leaders of Haryana BJP, who are Babita Phogat and Tirtha Rana. Babita had approached us because she was greedy to get the post of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. We also thought that if Babita Phogat gets the post, something good will happen, but we did not know that she will play such a big game with us.”
Sakshi further said, “We were sure that Babita Phogat would also join us in the protest and being a player, she would raise her voice that all those things had happened while she was playing.” The female wrestler denied that Congress was behind this protest. He further said, “Vinesh Phogat proved it, she went to play again till the Olympics. If it had ended, no one would have allowed them to go to the Olympics. With this, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's statement that these people have been eliminated was proved false, that is why they demonstrated.”
Sakshi Malik also claimed that the wrestlers had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and explained all the problems, after which they demonstrated when no action was taken. He said, “We did not start the protest directly, rather Vinesh Phogat had first met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and told him the whole problem. After this no response came, that is why we chose the path of protest.”
