VIDEO: BJP leader kicked temple priest’s brother for protesting against donations, incident of assault captured in CCTV

New Delhi. The dark deeds of the BJP leader of Durg district of Chhattisgarh have come to light. Here, the priest’s brother was beaten with kicks and punches in protest against the collection of donations in Chanda’s name. This entire incident has been captured in CCTV camera. After the video went viral on social media, there is anger among the people and people are demanding action against the accused.

The statue of Hanumanji and Shivling made of cow dung is installed in Rukha Nath Dham located in Nartha village of Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Rudra Mahayagya has been organized by BJP leader Chandrahash Giri Goswami on Monday 16 February, preparations for which are going on. For this, big pits have been dug in the temple premises for yagya. On the other hand, the temple committee is not in favor of this event. For the program, donations are being collected from shopkeepers located in the village and in the temple premises. The entire program is being organized by Chandrahash Goswami, former district president of BJP from village Nardha. For the programme, the BJP leader had talked about moving back the shops outside the temple. When the priest’s brother was not removed, he was beaten badly. The entire incident of fighting was captured in CCTV camera.

The reason for the beating was that the BJP leader was forcefully collecting donations from the devotees in the name of puja/yagya in the temple.

In the video, Chandrahash Goswami is seen kicking his stomach and head. He was also beaten badly with an air pump. The BJP leader is also accused of taking donations from the villagers for this Yagya, whereas for the last ten years this Yagya has been taking place without donations. After the video went viral, the BJP leader lodged a complaint in the police station claiming himself injured. The aggrieved party has also filed a complaint. The police is investigating the matter
