BJP MP Nishikant Dubey presents proposal to cancel Rahul Gandhi’s membership in Lok Sabha
New Delhi. BJP MP Dr. Nishikant Dubey has presented a motion in the Lok Sabha, demanding cancellation of membership of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and ban on contesting elections in future. Dr. Dubey said that Rahul Gandhi, along with Soros Foundation and the forces trying to disintegrate the country, want to divide India. Therefore, I moved a motion under Rules 352 (5) and 353 of the Lok Sabha to cancel his membership and ban him from contesting elections in future.

What is Lok Sabha Rule 352(5) and 353
Under Lok Sabha Rules 352(5) and 353, Parliament adopts the procedure to cancel the membership of a member or bar him from contesting future elections if his actions are against the Constitution and national unity. According to experts, this motion is politically sensitive and the debate and decision on it in Parliament can have an impact on the opposition and the political environment.
