BJP will blow election conch shell in Bengal, 5000 km long ‘Parivartan Yatra’ will start today, many big leaders will participate

BJP Parivartan Yatra in West Bengal: The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced to take out a 5,000-km statewide ‘Parivartan Yatra’ ahead of the 2026 assembly elections in West Bengal. This campaign will start from today, March 1 and will run till March 10 and its proposed end will be in Kolkata. There are plans to organize a huge rally at the historic Brigade Ground on the concluding day, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to address, although the date of the rally has not been officially announced yet.

The outline of the yatra was shared by State President Samik Bhattacharya, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Suvendu Adhikari and Union Minister Sukant Majumdar in a joint press conference. According to him, the yatra will start from five major places of the state on March 1. BJP President Nitin Naveen will inaugurate the program from Siliguri, where former Union Minister Nishith Pramanik will also be present.

Shah will address public meeting in Raidighi

On March 2, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will take the Yatra forward by addressing a public meeting from Raidighi in South 24 Parganas. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will launch the campaign from Amta in Howrah. Apart from this, party’s national president JP Nadda, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Annapurna Devi and senior leader Smriti Irani will also participate in the programs from different places.

BJP leadership says that this yatra will pass through 250 out of 294 assembly constituencies of the state. During this, 66 big public meetings and about 300 welcome programs will be organized. In view of Holi, the yatra will be postponed on March 3 and 4, after which it will be carried forward as per the pre-determined schedule.

Slogan of ‘Revolution is needed, BJP government is needed’

The party has given the slogan ‘Paltano darkar, chahiye BJP government’. BJP has accused Mamata Banerjee government of corruption, violation of democratic rights and failure in development. The state leadership claims that the 2026 elections will decide the political direction of the state and this election will prove to be a decisive battle for change.

As soon as the elections were announced in West Bengal, political activities have intensified. All the parties have entered the fray, but the Bharatiya Janata Party in particular seems to be exerting its full force. The aim of the party is to gain power in the state at any cost, so that it can strengthen its hold in Bengal. BJP believes that if it succeeds in making gains in West Bengal, it will have a direct impact on the 2028 Lok Sabha elections and will further strengthen its position at the national level.
