BJP Parliamentary Party issues whip, presence of members in the House mandatory for three days

New Delhi, 12 April. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary party has issued a whip for its MPs. In this instruction issued by the party’s office secretary Shiv Shakti Nath Bakshi, all BJP MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been asked to be compulsorily present in the House for three days. According to this whip, the presence of all MPs will be mandatory from Thursday to Saturday (16 to 18 April 2026). In this, Union Ministers and all members have been specifically directed to be present in the House during these three days.

The whip from the BJP said, “A three-line whip is being issued to all BJP members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from Thursday to Saturday (16 to 18 April 2026). All Union Ministers and Members are requested to be present in the House on the above three dates. Attendance in the House is mandatory. No leave will be sanctioned. Members are requested to strictly follow the whip and ensure their uninterrupted presence in the House. For your cooperation. Thank you very much.”

Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter to the leaders of all parties in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha regarding ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’, requesting their support. The Prime Minister said in his letter that everyone should unite to pass this amendment and more and more MPs should present their views on this subject in Parliament. He has described it as a matter above any one party or individual.

In his letter written on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi said that a historic discussion on the Nari Shakti Vandan Act is going to start in Parliament from April 16. He called it an important opportunity to strengthen democracy and reiterate our commitment to take everyone along. The Prime Minister said that any society progresses only when women get opportunities to move forward, take decisions and lead. He described full participation of women as necessary to fulfill the resolve of a developed India.

He also said that today the participation of women in the country is continuously increasing and the daughters of India are making their mark in every field like space, sports, armed forces and start-ups. She is continuously achieving success with her hard work, determination and big thinking. He also said, “We all witness that the participation of our sisters and daughters in public life is continuously increasing. India’s daughters are making their mark in every field, from space to sports and armed forces to start-ups. With their big thinking and full passion, they work hard and are proving themselves.”
