Who is fighting on how many seats??
BMC Many political equations have emerged in the elections. The grand alliance government includes BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and Ajit Pawar’s NCP.
However, only BJP and Shiv Sena are fighting together in this election. Ajit Pawar’s NCP has split. BJP is contesting in 137 wards and Shiv Sena in 90 wards.
Ajit Pawar’s NCP has so far fielded candidates in 64 wards. Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar’s NCP are together at many places.
At the same time, Congress has become isolated. Congress will contest on 153 wards out of 227. Prakash Ambedkar’s VBA 62, RSP 10 And RPI Will contest elections on 2 seats. Congress was initially going to fight alone but on December 29 itself it formed an alliance.

Is Congress being sidelined??

This election is also being seen as a new political strategy. The alliance formed by Congress is also being considered as an attempt to bring together Marathas, OBCs, Dalits and Muslim vote banks. However, Congress leaders say that it wants to come out of the shadow of coalition politics.
After the alliance, Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant said that the party wants to take like-minded parties together and strengthen secular forces. This move could open the way for future politics in Maharashtra.

BMC Thackeray family will take over?

Besides, 16 councilors from other parties had also joined Shinde. 6 councilors from other parties had joined BJP. In this way BMC was captured by BJP-Shiv Sena alliance.
Now BMC But both the brothers have come together to take over the Thackeray family again. Therefore, this election can be seen as a big battle for the Thackeray family. Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray had announced their coming together on 24 December. However, both the parties did not tell who is contesting in how many wards.
