BJP, SP face to face over fire in Mahakumbh, accuse each other – Read
There was a stir in the evening when a fire broke out in the fair area of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. This fire broke out in Sector 19 camp near Shastri Bridge. It is reported that this fire broke out while cooking food in the tent of Vivekananda Seva Samiti, Varanasi, which has engulfed many tents. After this, the gas cylinders kept in them started blasting, in which about 20 to 25 tents were burnt to ashes. As soon as information about the incident was received, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Samajwadi Party has targeted the Yogi government regarding this incident. The party’s media cell has shared a post on social media, in which they have said, ‘There are reports of many tents being burnt due to fire in the Maha Kumbh Mela area and the fire spreading rapidly. There is an appeal to the BJP government that relief work should be expedited immediately and care should be taken to ensure that there are no casualties.

‘CM Yogi flaunted the system’
Further, the media cell attacked the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath and said, ‘Is this the same system that CM Yogi was trumpeting about fair area management and inviting everyone as seen today? The truth is that CM Yogi has only trumpeted and done corruption, the rest of the security arrangements are solely in the trust of Lord Ram.
Meanwhile, party president Akhilesh Yadav appealed to the government to take the matter seriously. He has shared a video of the fire and said that serious cognizance should be immediately taken of the fire that broke out in the Maha Kumbh Mela and it should be ensured that such accidents do not happen again.

BJP’s counterattack on Akhilesh Yadav
BJP has retaliated on this statement of SP. Party spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari shared a post saying, ‘Shame on you! The Samajwadi Party is sitting with the intention that some accident may happen in the Mahakumbh. The height of Hindu hatred is visible. He further said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath immediately took cognizance and the fire was brought under control. No casualties.

On the other hand, another BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi said on Akhilesh’s statement that Akhilesh should stop defaming Kumbh. He questioned why the SP chief has so much problem with Kumbh. Why is Akhilesh Yadav, who took bath in Ganga in Haridwar in the dark of night, not going to Kumbh? He said that there was huge chaos in the Kumbh held in 2013 during the Akhilesh government. The arrangements for the Maha Kumbh to be held in 2025 are being appreciated across the country and the world.
