BJP’s big victory in civic elections: Prime Minister Modi said – Gujarat again chose development and good governance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the people of Gujarat voted in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the local body elections considering the politics of good governance and the excellent work of the state government. He also assured that the party will work harder in the times to come and take Gujarat to new heights of development.

He has always been among the people and solving their problems. This is why our party has been the favorite party of Gujarat time and again.

According to the latest data shared by the State Election Commission (SEC), Congress has secured 1,412 seats while other parties including Independents, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) have won 597 seats. Officials said that BJP has so far won nine out of 15 municipal corporations. According to SEC data, the BJP has won more than half of the total seats in the municipal corporations of Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Karamsad-Anand, Nadiad, Navsari, Vapi, Surat and Morbi.
