The bugle of West Bengal Assembly elections 2026 has been sounded and this time Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded its most powerful army to breach the fort of Mamata Banerjee. BJP has released a high-profile list of 40 star campaigners for the election campaign in the state. This list includes the names of powerful leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who will roar for blooming lotus in the streets of Bengal.

Two phase conflict in Bengal and date of results
Let us tell you that this time in West Bengal, voting is to be held in two phases on 23rd April and 29th April. The eyes of the entire world are fixed on the election results on May 4, but before that the political temperature in the state has reached its peak. On Sunday itself, PM Modi started the campaign by addressing a huge election rally in Cooch Behar. The PM directly attacked the Mamata government and claimed that this time there will definitely be a change in Bengal and a BJP government will be formed.
These big names are included in Modi’s army
Veterans from every field have found a place in the list of 40 star campaigners released by BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President Nitin Nabin, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah will be the main faces in this list. Apart from these, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda, Dharmendra Pradhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also enter the battle of Bengal. Stars like Mithun Chakraborty, Leander Paes, Hema Malini and Kangana Ranaut from the world of entertainment and sports will also work to woo the voters.
Entry of UP’s ‘Bulldozer Baba’ and Delhi’s stalwarts
The demand for UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is as high as ever in Bengal. Apart from him, Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra, Shivraj Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will also take charge of the campaign. Firebrand leaders like Smriti Irani, Anurag Thakur, Manoj Tiwari and Samrat Chaudhary are also part of the list. Among the local faces of Bengal, leaders like Suvendu Adhikari, Dilip Ghosh and Sukanta Majumdar will sharpen the BJP’s strategy on the ground. Apart from these, strategists like Arjun Munda, Babulal Marandi and Amit Malviya have also been prominently included in this list.
