BJP sources say that Raghuvar Das's insistence on returning to Jharkhand politics distanced him from the party high command. Raghurav Das wanted to return to Jharkhand politics before the 2024 assembly elections but the party high command was not ready for it. To pacify Raghuvar Das who was adamant on contesting from Jamshedpur East and fearing that no new controversy would arise before the elections, BJP gave ticket to Raghuvar Das's daughter-in-law from Jamshedpur East. When BJP suffered a crushing defeat in the assembly elections, the party's high command assessed that the ongoing factionalism within the party and the ambitions of local leaders had worsened the condition of the party. After this, when the turn came to change the Governor in many states, Raghuvar Das was removed from the post of Governor of Odisha and his resignation given earlier was reportedly accepted. After this, the way was cleared for Raghuvar Das to come back into Jharkhand politics. There is no major change of power in the politics of Jharkhand till 2029.
