Ranchi: BJP's current Jamua MLA Kedar Hazra has said goodbye to the party and joined JMM. After resigning from AJSU, former Chandankiyari MLA Umakant Rajak has also joined JMAM. Chief Minister Hemant Soren gave membership to both of them outside the CM residence.
Senior party leader Umakant Rajak and BJP leader Kedar Hazra have joined the ruling party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). The reason behind Umakant leaving the party is said to be that Chandankyari seat was not in AJSU's account.
Here, BJP is going to get a shock in the form of Kedar Hazra. Kedar Hazra, who was three-time MLA from Jamua seat, is now going to change sides. He is going to join JMM. He has reached the Chief Minister's residence. Recently Congress leader Manju Kumari has left Congress and joined BJP. It is believed that this time BJP can field Manju Kumari from Jamua. Therefore Kedar Hazra has decided to join JMM. Kedar Hazra defeated Manju Kumari by more than 18 thousand votes in the 2019 elections.
