BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Park Jung Min’s zombie drama Newtopia to release on Jan 2025; deets here

After three years, Jisoo from the K-pop group BLACKPINK is making her much awaited acting comeback. She has already finished filming her next zombie drama, Newtopia, in which she will co-star with Park Jung Min.

An interview with Park Jung Min was released by Field Movie on October 25 wherein he disclosed the zombie drama’s premiere date when discussing his next projects. Fans are already excitedly anticipating his chemistry with Jisoo in this series, even if the precise date has not yet been disclosed.

The forthcoming show will offer a fresh interpretation of the zombie cliché as a fantasy thriller. Jisoo will play Young Ju who struggles to manage her relationship with her boyfriend, Jae Yun, before he ends it since she is a newcomer to society.

As her boyfriend Jae Yun, Park Jung Min is expected to astonish spectators. At the age of 26, he enlisted in the military for mandatory service and began looking for work in the defense sector. However, he lacks confidence and is a weak person. He ends his relationship with Young because he is worried about her future.

She arrives at the defense unit’s high-rise structure to see her boyfriend, bewildered by the circumstances. However, hordes of zombies unexpectedly attack them.

The drama will also feature Kim Joon Han, Im Sung Jae, Kim Chan Hyung, and others in pivotal roles.

In addition, she is working on two more acting projects. While she is in negotiations for another drama, Monthly Boyfriend, her debut film, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, will premiere in the summer of 2025.
