Rosé from K-pop group BLACKPINK has officially teased her highly awaited first complete solo album, Rosie, which has her fan base around the world buzzing with anticipation. The record, which is scheduled for release on December 6th, represents a major turning point in Rosé’s career as she returns to the spotlight after over three years.
At midnight on November 15 KST, Rosé shared the announcement on her own social media, with the official tracklist, offering fans a peek of what’s to come. Number One Girl, Game Boy, poisonous ‘until the end, 3AM, Not The Same, APT, and 2 Years are among the verified songs that guarantee a raw musical experience.
The singer posted in a warmth filled note to the fans, “I remember last year as our year-long tour ended, I found myself in a session out here in Los Angeles. That led on to a year of walking in and out of the studio, writing songs with songwriters and producers I’d met for the first time, trying to figure out the next chapter in my career. I fell asleep many nights feeling confused and lost.”
“I have poured my blood and tears into this album,” she quipped. “Rosie is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me.”
The singer also revealed that she has total control over her songs because her lawyer has confirmed that she owns all of her masters. Given that Rosé created this endeavor completely on her own terms, supporters have even more reason to rejoice. The release of Rosie is more than just an album; it’s an invitation to a very intimate period of her life.
