The teacher told the police that he received a call from an unknown number at 12 noon on November 1. The caller introduced himself as an officer of Mumbai Crime Branch. He said that my senior will talk to you. After that the cyber criminal gave the phone to his senior. The caller took the name of a famous leader of Maharashtra accused of corruption and said that you are related to that leader. Crores of rupees earned through terror funding are kept in your bank accounts. The thug also said that your mobile phone has been used in a sexual harassment case. And the teacher was threatened in many ways. To further scare the teacher, cyber criminals also sent several fake notices and documents on his WhatsApp. After this the teachers started falling into their trap. He was also told that if he left the house he could be killed. The teachers became more scared after hearing the words of the thug. Falling for his trick, the teacher transferred the money to his bank account on 2nd November. As soon as the money was transferred, the swindler again contacted the teacher and asked for more money. When the teacher’s neighbor came to know about all this, he suspected fraud. After this the teacher also realized that he had been cheated and he reached the cyber police station and registered a case.
