Rohit and Gambhir ruined Sarfaraz Khan? Veteran player raised a big question

Sanjay Manjrekar raises question on Sarfaraz Khan batting position: The third test match between India and New Zealand is going on at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In this match, New Zealand had scored 235 runs in its first innings, in response to which Team India collapsed after scoring 263 runs and could take a lead of only 28 runs. India had a chance to take a big lead at one time but the batsmen could not hold on after lunch. Sarfaraz Khan, playing his first Test on home ground, also could not show anything amazing and was out without scoring any runs in 4 balls. Sarfaraz is being criticized for his poor performance but former Indian player Sanjay Manjrekar has indirectly targeted captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir.

In fact, Sarfaraz Khan was sent much lower down his regular batting order. This powerful batsman has so far played at number 5 on most of the occasions, but to maintain the left-right combination in Mumbai, Sarfaraz was sent to bat at number 8. Because of this, Sanjay Manjrekar criticized the decision of sending Sarfaraz down the batting order on social media, citing his recent performance.

Bad decision by India – Sanjay Manjrekar

As soon as the former Indian player saw Sarfaraz Khan coming to bat at number 8, he immediately expressed his displeasure on social media. He wrote in his tweet, “A guy in form, with 3 half-centuries in his first 3 tests, scored 150 in the Bengaluru Test and a good player of spin. But pushed back to maintain the right and left combinations?? This makes no sense. Sarfaraz is coming in at number 8. Bad decision for India!

Some fans also seemed to agree with Sanjay Manjrekar and criticized Team India's decision by tweeting.

(This is the worst and thoughtless decision of captain Rohit Sharma. He has made 4 mistakes during the batting order, shame on you Rohit)
