Sarfaraz Khan was out on zero, parrots of father and brother sitting in the stand flew away
On the second day of the third Test against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Indian team took a shocking decision which shocked the cricket pundits as well as the fans and that decision was to send the in-form Sarfaraz Khan to bat at number 8. Sarfaraz was sent down very low and was out for a duck on four balls.
After Sarfaraz's dismissal, Indian fans were disappointed but Sarfaraz Khan's father Naushad and brother Naushad sitting in the stands were also shocked. Sarfaraz came to bat at number eight after the dismissal of Ravindra Jadeja in the second session on the second day and was caught by wicketkeeper Tom Blundell on the ball of Ajaz Patel.

On the second day, Team India was all out after scoring 263 runs in its first innings and thus Team India took a total lead of 28 runs over New Zealand after the first innings.
Shubman Gill scored the most runs for the hosts and scored 90 runs on 146 balls with the help of 7 fours and a six. Apart from him, Rishabh Pant added 60 runs on 59 balls. Whereas Washington Sundar (38*) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (30) contributed for Team India by scoring some important runs. On the other hand, for New Zealand, Ajaz Patel bowled 21.4 overs and took 5 wickets giving 103 runs. Apart from Ijaz, Matt Henry, Glenn Phillips and Ish Sodhi took one wicket each. Now the way the ball is rotating, the New Zealand team will have to score at least 200 runs and if they are not able to do so then The Indian team will come closer to winning the third test match.
