On the second day of the third Test against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Indian team took a shocking decision which shocked the cricket pundits as well as the fans and that decision was to send the in-form Sarfaraz Khan to bat at number 8. Sarfaraz was sent down very low and was out for a duck on four balls.
After Sarfaraz's dismissal, Indian fans were disappointed but Sarfaraz Khan's father Naushad and brother Naushad sitting in the stands were also shocked. Sarfaraz came to bat at number eight after the dismissal of Ravindra Jadeja in the second session on the second day and was caught by wicketkeeper Tom Blundell on the ball of Ajaz Patel.

On the other hand, for New Zealand, Ajaz Patel bowled 21.4 overs and took 5 wickets giving 103 runs. Apart from Ijaz, Matt Henry, Glenn Phillips and Ish Sodhi took one wicket each. Now the way the ball is rotating, the New Zealand team will have to score at least 200 runs and if they are not able to do so then The Indian team will come closer to winning the third test match.
