The three-match ODI series between England and West Indies is going to start from October 31. However, before this the team has suffered a big setback. Team captain Jos Buttler is out due to injury. However, after the ODI series, he will join the team in the five-match T20 International series.

Butler has not fully recovered from the calf injury and due to this he has been ruled out of the ODI series against West Indies. Liam Livingstone will captain the ODI series in his place. This dynamic batsman is getting a chance to captain the England team for the first time. Let us tell you that Butler was injured before The Hundred 2024 and since then he has been out of action, due to calf injury he did not play in the limited overs series against Australia.

No player has been given a place in the squad yet as a replacement for Butler. Wicketkeeper batsman Butler was initially included in the team for the Caribbean tour but due to a calf injury he was forced to withdraw from the ODI series. However, according to media reports, Butler will be fit for the five-match T20 International series between England and West Indies.
