flop show of new zealand batsmen

Chasing the target, New Zealand scored 54 runs at the loss of one wicket in the first 10 overs, but after this the fall of wickets started, which continued till the 20th over. From the Kiwi team, only three batsmen scored double digits, out of which the maximum of 29 runs came from the bat of Amelia Kerr. While Suzie Bates scored 20 runs and Lee Tahuhu scored 11 runs. Apart from all these, other batsmen were flops. For Australia, Megan Schutt and Annabel Sutherland took three wickets each.

India's condition worsens despite New Zealand's crushing defeat

Australia, registering its second consecutive win, has occupied the first place in the points table and has 4 points. On the other hand, New Zealand has suffered a big defeat and the team has slipped to third place. However, despite having 2 points from two matches, New Zealand has retained one place above India due to better net run rate. In such a situation, it is largely a do or die match for Team India on 9th October and it will have to defeat Sri Lanka by a big margin, only then it will be able to have a better net run rate than New Zealand.
