Blood reports correct, body upset! Are you also a victim of these problems including ‘Subclinical Deficiency’?

Many people always have this puzzle in their mind that all our blood tests are coming normal, but still we feel tired, dizzy, brain fog, anxietyWhy are problems like hair fall, stomach ache, cramps, irregular periods and weight gain occurring?

Every year millions of people hear that their report is normal but they feel sick. They are often facing problems like feeling tired in the body, periods not coming on time, constant pain in the legs, decreased libido and often complaining of heaviness in the head or headache.

Do blood tests show everything?

The human body is so complex that even a completely normal blood test does not guarantee that you are healthy. Lab specific ranges are based on an average population – not your lifestyle, stress levels, sleep, diet, or metabolic status. Many times the problem occurs at the initial stage, which is not clearly visible in traditional blood tests.

This is the same hidden health problem – where the disease is not visible on paper, but is growing silently inside the body. In this article, we are going to tell about this thing in detail, so that you can improve your health and live an active, fit and healthy life.

Regarding this whole problem we discussed with Dr Raghib (MBBS, Kolkata) and Dr Bhanu Mishra (Consultant- Nephrologist

Fortis Hospital, ShalimarBagh), the information he gave was quite surprising. It could be due to many reasons that you are feeling ill, but your blood report is completely normal.

What is subclinical deficiency?

In such a condition, a question comes to the mind of the person undergoing the test whether all the parameters of his blood test are normal. But, why are there problems in his body even after this? Now the patient keeps visiting different doctors or gets trapped in the trap of exorcists and babas. But, this problem is completely scientific.

For example, you got tested for Vitamin B12, the normal range of which is between 200–900 pg/mL. There is a value of 5 in your test. Technically speaking this is absolutely normal. But in such a condition, a large part of the population may experience symptoms related to vitamin B12 deficiency. Like pain in muscles, headache, hair fall, problems in joints and constant feeling of fatigue in the body.

Which things contain Vitamin B12?

Sources of Vitamin B12 are non-vegetarian items. It is hardly available in veg food. Meat, chicken, liver, fish and milk are its important sources.

Something similar can be seen with Vitamin D also, whose normal range is 20-100 ng/ml and if someone’s Vitamin D is also 30 then he may experience symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency. The optimal range of Vitamin D is considered to be 40-60. Due to its deficiency, symptoms like hair fall, constant fatigue, brain fog, disturbance of hormonal levels and feeling of weakness etc. are seen.

The third example could be thyroid. In which the level of TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) 0.4-4.5 is considered normal. If its level is 2 or 2.5 in a person, then he is considered normal. But, many people start feeling symptoms of its deficiency during this time. Such as mild throat pain, weight gain, feeling of less strength in the body, hair fall, mood swings and pain in legs etc.

What things should you pay special attention to?

Every person’s genetics, stress level and lifestyle are different, so one level may be right for one person, while the same level may be a problem for another person.

Are hormone levels also a reason?

Correct hormone level is very important for the body. This can be understood with the example of a car. For example, fuel is put in a car to run it and Mobil Oil is so that it runs smoothly, its parts do not get jammed and its temperature remains correct. Similarly, hormones in the human body help in performing various functions of the body properly.

For example, due to increase in stress level in the body, the level of cortisol hormone increases. In this condition, our body goes into survival mode and we feel more hungry and the body activates the fat storage enzyme. Due to which fat starts increasing on the stomach. Due to increase in this hormone, muscles start becoming weak, weight increases and one feels extremely tired. Now we can’t measure high cortisol levels with a normal blood test, so even if all tests come back normal, you may not be able to figure out why you are experiencing these symptoms.

Could there be physical reasons?

Hormones are injected in large quantities in many vegetables, which cause different types of problems in people. If these vegetables are eaten, they start making the body sick. For example, the use of prolactin hormone in pumpkin. If pregnant women eat it, it can cause miscarriage. In men it can cause gynecomastia. It is not easy to detect these problems in a normal blood test.

brain problems

The first name in this list is psycho somatic pain. In this condition there is headache, chest pain, stomach pain and strange tension in the body. But blood tests remain completely normal. Because the problem is not of tissue damage but of brain-pain perception. Keep in mind that if you are facing such problems then it is important that you consult a doctor.

What is Chronic Stress Syndrome?

The second name in this list is Chronic Stress Syndrome. In this condition, the patient’s heart beats fast, BP fluctuates, there is fatigue and problems like hair fall occur. Nothing special is seen in routine blood panel. In this condition, the patient’s nervous system is constantly in fight or flight mode.

In conditions of high stress, digestion often remains poor. There will be gas formation in the stomach, stomach pain and problems like bloating, but blood tests will remain completely normal.

What effect will a sudden change in area or environment have on the body?

Changing area, city or environment also affects the body. In a new city, due to different spices, different food styles, different cooking oils as well as changes in the mineral levels of water, the bacteria found in the stomach start changing. Due to which many people have hair fall, gas and problems like loose motion. It cannot be easily detected in normal blood test.

On the other hand, when you go from a place with less pollution to a place with more pollution, you experience allergies, headache, fatigue and fever. But there is no change in blood markers during this period.

Are you ignoring electrolyte deficiency?

Drinking too much tea, coffee or other caffeinated drinks causes increased thirst and excessive urination. But due to this, there is deficiency of electrolytes in the body, due to which problems like weakness, fatigue, headache, low or high BP and lack of concentration occur. There is also a risk of heart failure due to excessive deficiency of electrolytes. This deficiency cannot be detected by blood test.

What problems do food allergies cause?

It is very common to be allergic to gluten and lactose. Lactose is present in milk and gluten is present in good quantity in wheat. Both are used extensively in Indian homes. The special thing is that people are not able to detect the problems caused by these easily. Their allergy also causes fatigue in the body, stomach becomes heavy and appetite starts decreasing. These allergies cannot be detected by routine tests. For this, it is very important to replace foods.

Many celebrities have also come forward who have openly talked about their allergies and told what kind of problems they were facing due to gluten. But, how good he feels after leaving it.

What is the nesibo effect?

This is a condition when the real symptoms arise due to some fear, negative expectation or belief. Even if that condition is not harmful. When a person thinks that this thing will harm him or that doing this will cause him this problem, then in reality he starts feeling those types of symptoms.

What is Nosibo effect?

When fear or negative thinking causes real physical symptoms

📌Definition

The nocebo effect is a condition in which a fear, negative expectation, or belief causes actual symptoms — even if the thing is not actually harmful.

⚙ What happens in the body?

• Cortisol levels increase when fear or anxiety increases.

• Adrenaline hormone increases due to cortisol.

• Pain sensitivity increases

⚠ Possible symptoms

• Headache

• Nausea

• Dizziness

• fast heartbeat

Thinking like this causes cortisol level in the body to increase, due to which adrenaline hormone increases and pain sensitivity increases. In such a condition, a person feels symptoms like headache, nausea, dizziness and rapid heartbeat. About 35 studies regarding the nocebo effect have found that the participants felt the same negative symptoms as they were thinking. More than 2500 participants were taken in all these studies. Let us now understand the Nacebo effect with an example. Suppose you shift to a different city and a thought comes to your mind that the water here is dirty and my hair will start falling because of it. Deep inside you start accepting this thought as absolutely true. So in such a situation, it is quite possible that your hair may start falling. Now whatever test you do, nothing will be found in it.
