Bloody fight before Holi in Bahraich, 4 killed by cutting with axe, condition of two critical

Just before the festival of Holi in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, a heart-wrenching incident has shocked the entire area. A family dispute took a bloody turn on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday in Basantpur Udal village of Rupaidiha police station area, in which four people died in brutal attacks with axe. This heinous murder has devastated the family, where now only an innocent child is left, who has been taken under the protection of the police.

The main reason for the incident?

The incident started with a minor dispute between the brothers, which soon became so violent that the courtyard of the house turned red with blood. The dead include three women and one man, while two people are seriously injured and admitted to the hospital. Police preliminary investigation has found that this matter appears to be related to a deep family and property dispute.

Screams and blood-stained courtyard at midnight

At around 12:30 in the night, sounds of screaming started echoing from inside the house. According to the villagers, by the time they arrived, the courtyard was covered in blood. The deceased have been identified as Shitala (82), Sanju Devi (60), Parvati (20) and Badaluram (62). The deceased were husband and wife from one side and mother and daughter from the other side. Gurudev (40) and Nirankar (30), injured by the sharp blows of the axe, were immediately rushed to the hospital, where Nirankar was referred to Lucknow Trauma Center as his condition was critical.

Heavy deployment of police and PAC, tension under control

As soon as the information was received, 112 police and outpost in-charge Babaganj reached the spot. SP Ram Nayan Singh, ASP Rural Durga Prasad Tripathi and Area Officer Pahup Singh inspected the spot. Superintendent of Police RN Singh said that in the investigation so far, this case seems to be related to a deep family and property dispute. In view of the tension in the village, additional police forces including PAC personnel have been deployed.

Ax used in murder

The forensic team has collected important evidence from inside and outside the house. The ax with which this mass murder was carried out has also been recovered from the incident site. Items were scattered in the house and there were blood stains all around, telling the horror of the night. Villagers say that the accused was under mental stress for some time and there were frequent quarrels in the family, but no one expected such a big tragedy.

After this brutal murder, mourning and anger has spread in the entire Bahraich district including Basantpur Udal village. People are surprised how a small dispute destroyed the entire family.
