Obnews Tech Desk: Social media platform Bluesky has launched a new feature 'Trending Topics' for its users. This feature will give users information about trending topics on the platform. With its help, users will be able to know which topic is being discussed the most at present. This feature is similar to the feature present on X (previously Twitter). Bluesky is also a platform that allows users to share short text messages, images, and videos.

Launching this feature, the company said, “Merry Christmas to you from our side. Today we launched 'Trending Topics'. You can access it through the search icon on the bottom bar of the app or by tapping it in the right sidebar on desktop.”
The company further explained, “This feature is currently in v1 version, and we will improve it based on user feedback. You can also disable it through the X button or settings. Your muted words will not automatically be reflected in the trending list. At present, this feature is available only in English language.

Feature Benefits
Through this new feature, users will know which topics are under discussion on the platform. On the mobile app, the feature is available through the search icon, while desktop users can access it in the right sidebar. However, this feature is currently in beta version.
Disable option
Bluesky has ensured that users can customize this feature as per their experience. If a user does not find this feature useful or shows unnecessary content, they can easily disable it. Additionally, words muted by users will not be shown in trending topics.
