BJP’s reaction came on Thackeray brothers’ handshake, know what CM Devendra Fadnavis said

BMC Election 2026: Maharashtra politics has once again come to the center of national discussion. Before the elections of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and other municipalities of the state, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray have announced an alliance. On Wednesday, both the leaders were seen on the same stage and described it as a permanent partnership. Uddhav Thackeray said that this alliance is not just for elections, but for the long term. There has also been a reaction from BJP on the joining hands of Thackeray brothers. Let us know what Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said about this alliance?

First reaction of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ statement on the alliance of Thackeray Brothers has also come out. He sarcastically said that it may be a matter of happiness for both of them to come together, but it is not going to bring any major political change.
Fadnavis also took a dig at the media and said that some channels are presenting this alliance as if an international war has ended. According to him, this alliance will neither change the politics of Mumbai nor give any new dimension to Marathi identity.

Fadnavis’ clear message regarding Hindutva

CM Fadnavis took a very clear stand regarding Hindutva in his statement. He said, ‘Devendra Fadnavis was born a Hindu and will die a Hindu.’ He said that the people of Mumbai and Maharashtra are Hindutva and everyone has seen the fate of those who use Hindutva only for political gains. Fadnavis also added that BJP’s Hindutva is not narrow but based on Indian culture and values, where Shri Ram is not just God but ideology.

The alliance is calling it a fight for survival.

The Chief Minister termed the alliance of Uddhav and Raj Thackeray as an attempt to save existence. According to him, those parties which repeatedly changed their stand, adopted appeasement politics and lost the trust of the public, have now come together. Fadnavis said that elections are not won just by forming alliances.

Personal attack on Uddhav Thackeray

Devendra Fadnavis launched a scathing attack on Uddhav Thackeray, calling him a disappointed and frustrated leader. He said that after Balasaheb Thackeray, both the brothers have no solid ideology left and they are doing politics of opportunism.
