BMW Bike: In the adventure segment, premium motorcycle manufacturer BMW Motorrad has launched its new mid-weight adventure bike BMW F450 GS in India. This bike has been designed for those riders who want strong performance and advanced features along with light weight.

Price and variants
The company has introduced this bike in three variants. The base variant starts at Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Exclusive variant is available at Rs 4.90 lakh. The top spec Trophy variant has been priced at Rs 5.30 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design and Hardware
The design of the BMW F450 GS is inspired by BMW’s flagship GS series. It has a signature X-shaped LED headlamp, which gives it an aggressive look. The weight of the bike is around 178 kg, which provides better control during off-roading. For suspension, it has an upside-down front fork (180mm travel), which ensures a comfortable ride even on bad roads.

Engine and Performance
This bike has a twin-cylinder engine, which generates power of 48hp and torque of 43Nm. This setup gives balanced performance in both highway and off-road conditions. Also, the 14 liter fuel tank is suitable for long distance riding.

Features and Technology
The bike comes with premium features like 6.5-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, multi-controller and heated grips. Apart from this, adjustable brake and clutch lever provide better ergonomics to the rider.

Safety and riding modes
For safety, it has been provided with features like ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Traction Control and Engine Drag Torque Control. Additionally, multiple riding modes are also available for different conditions.
