BMW Superbike: BMW Motorrad launches new superbike in India, know price and features
BMW Superbike: German two-wheeler manufacturer BMW Motorrad has launched its flagship roadster bike BMW M 1000 R (2026) in India at a starting price of ₹ 33.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike is being brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU). Its booking has started at authorized dealerships, while deliveries are expected to start from May 2026.
Powerful engine and performance
The BMW M 1000 R sits at the top of the brand’s roadster line-up and is based on the RR superbike platform. It has a 999cc inline four-cylinder engine, which generates power of 207 bhp and torque of 113 Nm. According to the company, this bike can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, while its top speed is 280 km/h.
Aggressive Design and Aerodynamics
Talking about design, the M 1000 R has been given a sharp and compact roadster look. It gets dual LED headlights and M winglets integrated into the bodywork. These winglets produce better downforce at high speeds, increasing front wheel grip at speeds up to 220 km/h.
Technology and Features
This superbike has a 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, which has an M-specific interface. It supports accessories like M GPS data logger and lap trigger, which are extremely useful for track riding enthusiasts.
Riding Modes and Electronics
BMW has given it several riding modes—Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race and Race Pro. Additionally, it also gets features like 6-axis IMU based dynamic traction control, wheelie control, launch control and pit-lane limiter, making it a track-focused bike.
Color options and packages
This bike will be available in Light White/M Motorsport and White Aluminum Metallic Matt colors. Apart from this, the company is also offering the M Competition package, which includes carbon wheels and track-oriented accessories.
