Mumbai Mumbai. Rashid Khan, who won the last of his two Asian Tour titles 10 years ago, has taken himself to the top spot with scores of 67-67 in the first two rounds of the BNI Indonesian Masters. It is a two million dollar Asian Tour event which is part of the International Series. Rashid is tied for third at 10 under, while Canada's Richard T. Lee (62-67; 15 under) took a three-shot lead with an action-packed round of 67 that included nine birdies, two bogeys and Consists of a double bogie. In this round he lost three shots in the last two holes. Apart from Rashid, the other Indians who made the cut are defending champions Gaganjeet Bhullar (70-71) and SSP Chaurasia (71-70) who are tied at 57th position. The Indians who missed the cut are Yuvraj Sandhu, Karandeep Kochhar, S Chikkarangappa, Shiv Kapoor, Varun Chopra, Ajitesh Sandhu, Veer Ahlawat and Rahil Gangjee. Lee, who was the leader early in the day after a 10-under-par 62 in the first round, shot 67 to move to 15-under-par overall for the tournament. He is ahead of second-placed Jazz Janewattananand of Thailand, who shot 69.
Zimbabwe's Kieran Vincent is joint third with India's Rashid. Rashid and Vincent both shot 67 for the second time in a row. Jazz had won the event in 2019 – the year they won four times on the Asian Tour and won the Order of Merit title. Asian Tour and International Series number one John Catlin of the United States shot 66 and is tied for fifth, six behind Lee.
