Bollywood Actor Boman Irani Buys Brand New Mahindra XEV 9S EV [Video]
Bollywood actors buying new cars is something the internet always loves. In most cases, actors often go for expensive and exotic cars that offer them utmost comfort. However, lately we have seen many actors opting for Indian brands. Many people have also started buying electric vehicles. Bollywood actor and comedian Boman Irani is the latest to buy a premium vehicle from an Indian brand. Boman Irani has bought a brand-new Mahindra XEV 9S electric SUV.
The video has been shared by Mahindra Electric SUVs on their Instagram page. In this video, we see the actor along with his family arrive at a Mahindra dealership in Mumbai. The family arrives at the dealership, and soon after completing the documentation, the keys to the new car are handed over to the actor.
We see the family and dealership staff posing for pictures, and they even hand over hampers to the actor and his family. After this, the usual religious rituals are performed before driving the car out. The actor mentions on camera that he was extremely impressed with the car. It is smooth, quiet, and comfortable.
On the inside, the XEV 9S’s cabin feels like a whole different world and is loaded with features. He is extremely happy with the overall experience at the dealership as well. The actor bought the XEV 9S in Desert Myst colour.
XEV 9S
The Mahindra XEV 9S is the latest electric SUV to be launched in Mahindra’s EV lineup. This is also the first seven-seater electric SUV in its segment. It wouldn’t be wrong to call it an electric version of Mahindra’s popular XUV 7XO.
The front design of the XEV 9S is heavily inspired by the XEV 9E. We see a connecting LED bar, 7-shaped LED DRLs, a triangular headlamp cluster design, and a closed front grille with an illuminated Mahindra logo in the centre.
The bumper looks muscular, and we also see a faux skid plate. Coming to the side, the design looks similar to the regular XUV 7XO, with flush-fitting door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels with EV-specific design, and so on.
The rear design of the 9S is also similar to the facelifted XUV 7XO, with LED tail lamps, an FRP tailgate, and more.
On the inside, the XEV 9S gets premium interiors, and the main highlight is the triple-display setup on the dashboard. Two of these are touchscreen infotainment systems, while the third is a fully digital instrument cluster. The SUV also comes with a large panoramic sunroof, electric boss mode, seat ventilation for both front and rear seats, and electrically adjustable front seats with memory function.
The SUV also gets leatherette upholstery, a heads-up display (HUD), Level 2 ADAS, and many more premium features. The XEV 9S is available with three battery pack options: 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh. We assume that Boman Irani has opted for the top-end, larger battery variant.
The 79 kWh battery pack version generates 282 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. It offers a claimed driving range of 678 km. The price of the Mahindra XEV 9S starts at Rs 19.95 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes all the way up to Rs 29.45 lakh, ex-showroom.
