Rajpal Yadav got help from the industry
Mumbai. In recent times, after Rajpal Yadav surrendered in Tihar Jail and made an emotional statement regarding the loan of ₹9 crore, the leading stars of the film industry have shown solidarity to help him. Sonu Sood was the first to appeal for help, and now Rajpal’s manager has confirmed that several A-list celebrities have supported him.
supporting stars
Rajpal Yadav’s manager Goldie said that many celebrities like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, and Ajay Devgan have extended their helping hand to him. Goldie mentioned that David Dhawan and many others have also come out in support of Rajpal. This unity has given new hope to Rajpal.
Possibilities of Rajpal’s release
Although the manager did not clarify whether Rajpal had sought help before surrendering, he said that the industry stood firmly behind Rajpal when his condition deteriorated. He said, “Everyone wants Rajpal Bhai to come out as soon as possible. Hopefully he will be released by tomorrow.” His bail hearing is scheduled to take place soon.
debt issue
Rajpal Yadav had borrowed ₹5 crore for his film ‘Ata Pata Lapata’ in 2010. When the film flopped, he was unable to return the money. Due to this he had to face a legal battle. In April 2018, the court found him guilty in the check bounce case and sentenced him to six months’ imprisonment.
payment status
His sentence was canceled by the Delhi High Court in June 2024, but he was directed to make reasonable efforts to repay the outstanding amount. By October 2025, Rajpal had repaid ₹75 lakh, but a huge amount was still outstanding. With his final appeal rejected, he was taken into custody.
financial assistance
In this problem, Sonu Sood has given Rajpal Yadav a role and a signing amount in his upcoming film. Apart from this, leader Tej Pratap Yadav and music producer Rao Inderjit Singh have also offered him financial assistance. Tej Pratap has offered help of ₹11 lakh and KRK has offered help of ₹10 lakh.
